The short stories, Lia Scott Price’s The Dark Fiction Chronicles™, and their companion film shorts, Lia Scott Price’s Dark Fiction™, focus primarily on the fictional diary of a female serial killer.. “You don’t see a lot of them in popular fiction. That’s why I find them so fascinating to write about.” Price says. Price even plays the female serial killer character in her film shorts.

Female serial killers are often portrayed as “Angels of Death” or “Black Widows”. They are often the ones you would least suspect, but they kill more often. Their motivations seem to be limited to money as depicted in fiction or movies, and poison or guns are the weapon of choice. However, Price’s female serial killers employ more gruesome methods, more often than not involving sharp objects. And her serial killer’s victims are not limited to husbands or hospital patients. They kill for revenge, targeting abusive family members or cheating partners. But they leave their husbands or partners alive “so they can learn their lesson.”
