Gregory Isaacs – Story Book Children (July 15, 1951 – October 25, 2010)

Gregory Isaacs (July 15, 1951 – October 25, 2010) was a Jamaican reggae musician. This morning Jamaican reggae legend Gregory Isaacs died in London aged 59, after a battle with liver cancer. Also known as the Cool Ruler, Isaacs made his name on the reggae circuit in the 1970s, and by the 80s had become one of reggae’s most prominent exports, regularly touring the UK, US and Europe.

Isaacs’ career and personal life also fared controversy, with the singer facing legal battles and a stint in prison in his earlier years, mostly owing to his battle with a severe cocaine addiction. However, Isaacs continued to carve his name in reggae history over the next three decades, producing and releasing records on his independent imprint African Museum, touring and working with a plethora of reggae talent, including Freddie McGregor and Beres Hammond.

Many mainstream audiences will be most familiar with Isaacs’ most commercial hit, 1982′s “Night Nurse”. His presence was also felt in hip hop; most notably Mos Def sampled 1981′s “If I Don’t Have You” on his single, “Ms. Fat Booty”.

Hey guys, in this video I’ve decided to present Rosalina’s story with no extraneous commentary, and in a manner that I believe is appropriate. Some of my favorite memories from when I was little are those of my grandma and I reading children’s books before bedtime. I think this book and it’s musical accompaniment are so sweet…and I’m not gonna lie, it really does get to me a little. :’D Hehehe.

You don’t have to watch, but I thought maybe this would be something good to listen to at night or when you can’t sleep. Hope you enjoy it!!

Children’s book story that is engaging with beautiful illustrations

Sid is a seed who is quite at home, living in his little underground world. He has two living companions, a spider and a caterpillar, whom are making plans to become something great. Slowly his friends leave on their exciting journeys, leaving Sid by himself, longing for his own life changing event.
My name is Daniel Pagan and I posted my story because I feel that my story is special, engaging and unique. Children want to learn, to grow! When you are so small, you look toward big things and you dream about being in new places. I feel that my story inspires young readers to let their imaginations run wild. More importantly, my story will show young children that they are a masterpieces waiting to happen.
I am a special education teacher living in Kentucky. I also have a Bachelors degree in Art. I am a musician as well and I feel that writing songs has helped me to write my picture book stories. I plan on using Sid the Seed as a teaching tool to inspire kids to reach their full potential. Please enjoy, let me know where youre from and pass this video on!

A Brief History of Pretty Much Everything

This is the final piece for my AS art course, a flipbook made entirely out of biro pens. It’s something like 2100 pages long, and about 50 jotter books. I’d say I worked on and off it for roughly 3 weeks.

Song is French Cancan by Jaques Offenbach.

Additional sounds credited to Valve, specifically from their game Team Fortress 2.

Other stuff is from the 300 trailer and O Little Town of Bethlehem.
