i am in ninth grade and i can’t come up with a short story plot. I have to read it to the class so i don’t want it to be lame. And all my story ideas are lame

Use your imagination to turn a fantasy/real life experience that you’ve had into an exciting, romantic, fantastical, thrilling, complex, attention-grabbing story. I find that when I don’t think about it and just start writing, it all flows out. Imagine your story as a film. Watch it as you write it and picture your audiences faces at each point of conflict, etc. If you enjoys it, so will your readers.

-Getting lost in the woods after camping, expressing the anxiety,fear, and or thrill
-A roller coaster ride
-A few mins before prom night
-Running away from the neighbor´s dog after sneaking in the garden/loosing a soccer-ball/cat ran away
-A haunted house…or what your friends say is a haunted house, but it actually has a secret…
-Playing Videogames all night then seeing things….

the Terran confederacy (a group of humans settling the vast reaches of space) stumble upon some sort of an ailien race. The race turns out to be part of a group of species that are controled by a Overmind. These creatures are called the Zerg. There is a super advanced ailien race that protects the universe from the Zerg called the Protoss. The story itself is A hero called Jim Raynor is fighting for his life when the first zerg attack occurs. He escapes, and meets up with a lady called Sara Kerrigen. They go on missions to blkow a hole through the Confederacy, which wants the surviors of the attack dead. But Jims leader, Mengsk betrays Kerrigen and leaves her to die when the zerg attack her and her forces. Jim then becomes a renegade and teams up with the Protoss forces of Zeratul and Tassadar. Meanwhile the zerg are evolving a queen for them: Kerrigen has been brainwashed to serve the zerg. The zerg, with their newfound powers of the queen of blades (kerrigen) set out and take over much of the galaxy. They even invaid the Protoss homeworld. The protoss renegade forces of Zeratul and tassadar, along with the followers of Jim Raynor start to embark on a campaign to destroy the overmind. they push into the zerg homeworld of Char and eventually reach the Overmind. Tassadar then gives his life by infusing his powers in with a space craft to crash into the overmind and kill it. The plan succedes and the overmind is killed.
well, its not short, but its a great story!

Stories based on true events or urban legends are always the best. Go to a newspaper and write a story based on a story there. Look up an urban legend. Or write from your own experience.
Here is a scary story idea…..person checks in to hotel room but can’t sleep….creepy noises all night…next day dead body found under bed….

Probably a very shy boy who met this weird and funny girl, they both couldn’t get along with everybody else; and ended up being friends. The girl had this sickness, but she still tried very hard to be happy. She fell in love with the boy, and since the boy told her that the boy had always wanted this hamburger from America (they’re probably in Russia, or Vietnam), so the girl saved money and went to an airplane and reached america. The boy thought she just disappeared. The girl got her hamburger to give to the boy, but she died since her body couldn’t bear being in an airplane. When the girl’s father called the boy telling him she’s dead, the boy cries and realizes that he was the girl’s first love.
I just thought about that on top of my head. Hope it helps. Please try your best to make your own stories next time.
