It’s hard to say …
It’s hard to say without knowing what type of story it is, but there are several ways to have a character face their fear of spiders.
But if it doesn’t play into the story, then the MC need not overcome that fear.
For example if it is a fantasy, then you could have her face off with a spider woman enemy. half spider, half woman.
