I think that the question that you asked “why do you want to write?” is a good one. Knowing the why will either keep us writing or help us pursue something else. I think an equally valid question is “Who do you want to be?” Because for anyone to have any success in any venture they have to BE someone and DO the work necessary to HAVE the amount of success that comes in that area.

Personally, I have to be in the mood to write, I can’t just be like “Okay now I’m going to write” or it won’t be any good. But at the same time when I do feel like writing I write, I’m not just sitting there at the keyboard like Johnny Depp in Secret Window. This guy is helping me though. Really great advice, thank you sir.
