It’s World Book day next Thursday and all the staff and pupils at the school where I work have been asked to dress up as their favourite book character.
I have decided to go as Darth Vader (I know that he is a film character but they DID write books about Star Wars after the films, well that’s my story and I’m sticking to it!)
Members of staff are going to dress up as James Bond, Princess Jasmine, Mary Poppins, Snow White, Pocahontas, The Little Mermaid etc.
Thank You
The Mad Hatter, Dorian Gray, or Sydney Carton.

I appreciate that you’re going as Vader. It will be a refreshing change from many of the ‘book characters’ you mention, better known through Disney than books, especially ‘Pocahontas’…hmm. And ‘James Bond’ will need a very good tailor, huh? Ian Fleming would say so.
I can’t think of just one favorite character, especially ones in ‘story books’. I’ve been reading a lot of sci-fi lately… so I guess at this very moment I’d say Gully Foyle from ‘The Stars My Destination’ by Alfred Bester. He would be pretty easy to do, if no one remembers that he’s also supposed to be a "huge" man–
EDIT ADD: If you need a fave character from kids’ books, I’d say the one who starts out so young… I think his name is Sparrowhawk… from ‘The Wizard of Earthsea’ by Ursula K. LeGuin. (though this book is actually pretty timeless; one of the greats)

Wow! There are so many brilliant characters how could anyone choose? I think I’d go as Legolas, or Treebeard from Lord of the Rings, or maybe Aslan, or Tumlus from The Lion,The Witch and the Wardrobe, or from yet another book, The Snow Queen, or even Heidi ( I loved Heidi when I was young). Anyway, I could think about this question for hours, so have a star for a wonderful question! Hope you enjoy your World Book Day.

You have a gay staff.
I have a red United Federation of Planets uniform – Lieutenant Commander rank.
If I ever misplaced it I could wear my mom’s scarf, loses 50 kilos and go as Dr. Who.
