I’m looking for some place I can submit a couple of my stories. Please don’t say Writer’s Digest, I’ve already got that one covered and want to know about any others. The stories are mostly fiction and a little bit educational I guess you could say. Any help would be appreciated.
Jennifer, you need to pick up Writer’s Market, a book by the people who issue Writer’s Market, or sign up for their website (which is not free). They list many markets for fiction, sorted by genre, and give some writers’ guidelines for each.
Another way is to spend a few hours at a place with a really good magazine selection, like a major bookstore. Scan lots of them to identify places which publish work something like yours.
