I am in fine arts at our church and I am wondering what is a good Bible story to tell to kids the catagory is Childrens Lesson and the age is 6-12 and the theme is This Changes Everything. I have to fit the story into the theme. If you know any good bible stories then tell me please. I am running out of time. Thanks!
Noah’s ark. God promised never to destroy the earth with a flood again, he gave us the rainbow in symbol of that.

Tell them about how the Israelites killed the neighboring tribes, just so God could express his love by sacrificing himself to himself to stop himself from being a violent a$$hole.
I’m sure they’ll appreciate every last word of it.

The story of the Virgin Mary’s acceptance of the Divine Will, in saying yes to Gabriel and agreeing to become the mother of our Savior. Mary displayed amazing love, humility, and trust in the Lord.

Anything from the old Testament.
Share with them how women are inferior and should not be allowed to speak in churches and nothing she says has value unless her husband makes it so.

Tell them the one about Job and his children, who were constantly tortured by god. Or the one where Abraham, the first person to have faith, burned his son alive in the name of his lord. Those are all such nice childrens stories.

Exodus 12.
The death of the firstborn of Egypt.
All the "fun" bits about concubines, slavery, rape, etc from the heros of the Old Testement where God was horrible and the humans were worse.
If I knew all that when I was at school, I may have turned Christian!

How about Moses ordering the massacre of the Midianite children, except for the little girls who got to be kept as sex slaves. I bet that was a big change for them.

Why are there separate and distinct languages both verbal and written, when mankind supposedly came from a single source only 6,000 years ago?
Oh, I know I know! It’s all those damned Babylonians’ faults. They had to go be all "hey, lets cooperate peacefully and build this tower", and that God dude was all like, "Nuh-uh, you can’t be dissin’ me like that, even though, if you COULD actually build a tower so high you’d die of asphyxiation and decompression long before you ever reached where Heaven is supposed to be." And the Babylonians were still like, "Woo woo, building is fun. Hey, friend, wanna help us build this tower. C’mon, let’s work together." And God was like, "Forget this noise. People working together? We can’t have that. I want you at each other’s throats. Here, I’ll just make it so you can’t talk to each other any more. And, I’m gonna knock down your silly tower. Because I love you."
And then the people were like, "Hey, he knocked down our tower!" And others were all, "Quoi?" And some others were like, "Nan da yo, sono kotoba?" And the first people were like, "Hey, stop talking nonsense." And the second group were all like, "Putain!"
And then they all started fighting.
God sure is a nice fella.

I think the story of the "three holy children" (that is, the 3 companions of Daniel thrown into the furnace) is great for this topic. First, they are children. Second, their faith changed everything about what you would *expect* from the story, Instead of being fearful (as all expected), they were defiant. Instead of being consumed by the flames, they were rescued.
