I am bored and my mom and dad want me to read a story book but they won’t buy me one and i have read all mine so i want to write my own I need tips HELP!!! and ideas i want a vampire love stories and if you got knowing nice to say don’t say anything

Choose you main idea.
Choose at least one character. (you can add more as they come)
Choose a setting.
If you have read any vampire books, you can throw together some of the things that describe them and make it into your own description without stealing (make sure you don’t. I don’t want to be responsible for that).
Vampires are already fictional so that is very helpful in writing fiction.
Add a conflict.
add a climax (interesting part of story/ where story changes).
Near the end of the book, Solve the conflict.

Basically, make a prewriting page as if it were an essay on a test.

Hope I helped!

I become scared when I look at long story books such as harry potter and aragon. How should I get courage to read them?

Read one chapter a day, or whenever your bored. There about 20 pages a chapter in the Harry Potter series. It depends how much you would like to read. What’s get about the Harry Potter series is that it starts out being 200 page book, then the 5th one is a 800 page book, and the 7th one is a 700 page book! It grows bigger, except the last two gets smaller amount a pages. That’s good because your learning to read more often. Hope I helped..

By the way, Harry Potter is awesome. As you can tell by my Picture, I’m a fan.

This is my first book based on a love story how to publish it?

Well, you have two choices. The easy path is to self-publish and may be a viable option if you are not interested in seeing your book in stores or selling it commercially. Self-publishing tends to appeal to authors who only want a few copies of their book for keepsakes or to give to family and friends. It is not at all recommended to anyone who wants to sell large numbers of books, or to see their book available in stores.

The second and more difficult path is to find a traditional publisher. You’ll need to research publishers who are interested in books like yours – for example it would be a waste of time submitting a romance novel to a publisher who is interested only in science fiction. You can research publishers by using a book called "The Writer’s Marketplace" (the title varies in different countries,) which is available in most public libraries and contains an index of various publishers and their requirements. Only a handful of publishers will accept unsolicited manuscripts, so you may wish to find an agent who will do this on your behalf.

Usually, agents and publishers will ask to see the first three chapters of your book and will advise on their website how they like the manuscript to be formatted (more often than not they’ll ask for a manuscript that is double spaced, with 3cm margins). Publishers receive many manuscripts per year and of these will only publish a small few, so competition is quite fierce. Don’t be alarmed if your manuscript is rejected – most are. It can take many years before a book is published. Try to stand out from the crowd by submitting only your best and most original work.

The advantages of using a traditional publisher is that you’ll have a team to design a cover and market your novel. Your book will be available in stores and may even hit the international market.

Best of luck with publishing, whatever path you choose.

My fiance and I are getting married in Cyprus and was wondering if there is anywhere I can send our photo’s to be made into a story book album as the cost of them to do it abroad is very expensive.

Typically, any site that accepts photos and creates the album designs, prints, and binds, will only work with professional photographers. If you are wanting that type of high end album, you will need to work with having it done through a pro. An album of that type is not going to be cheap, no matter where you have it done. I would think it would be cheaper out of the country actually, but perhaps not. Any album of this type I created for my wedding clients would sell at a minimum of $700, up to about $1800 depending on size and page count and album style.

You can create books yourself at sites such as Blurb or Kodak or Adorama, but these may not be of the type you are wanting. If you are planning to create your own book, be SURE you are going to get FULL SIZE HIGH RESOLUTION copies of all your photos on CD or DVD. If you only get web size and resolution photos, they will not be suitable for printing.

steve

LUCY… I have found a place that can do what you want. I was going to email you personally, but there is no email link. Hopefully you will see this addition. We Design Albums will accept your photos, design, print, and bind the album. Looks like some nice work, though I have never used them. Pricing is not cheap, but actually quite low cost for what this typically costs. It is far less than what I would be forced to charge for such an album. Here is the link:

This morning Jamaican reggae legend Gregory Isaacs died in London aged 59, after a battle with liver cancer. Also known as the Cool Ruler, Isaacs made his name on the reggae circuit in the 1970s, and by the 80s had become one of reggae’s most prominent exports, regularly touring the UK, US and Europe.

Isaacs’ career and personal life also fared controversy, with the singer facing legal battles and a stint in prison in his earlier years, mostly owing to his battle with a severe cocaine addiction. However, Isaacs continued to carve his name in reggae history over the next three decades, producing and releasing records on his independent imprint African Museum, touring and working with a plethora of reggae talent, including Freddie McGregor and Beres Hammond.

Many mainstream audiences will be most familiar with Isaacs’ most commercial hit, 1982′s “Night Nurse”. His presence was also felt in hip hop; most notably Mos Def sampled 1981′s “If I Don’t Have You” on his single, “Ms. Fat Booty”.

I am working on a children story. I understand that this is a very competitive market. Trust me I am not there yet. But I would like to find a list of publishing companies to start thinning out my options. I am worried about scam artists and will research each company in it’s entirety. Instead of Googling and finding "Publish your book for cheap!" It wont be cheap, I know this. I just want some honest names to look up from others who have opinions on certain companies.

How to become a successful author (this applies to all books–even children’s story books).

1. Write a novel (that’s the easy part).
2. Edit the novel (that the fun part).
3. Market the novel to a publisher (that’s the part I hate the most).
4. Sell the novel (lots of luck).
5. Edit the novel to the editor’s specifications (not nearly as much fun as your own edit).
6. The publisher prints the novel (you will hate the cover art).
7. The novel is distributed to a bookstore (that’s kind of fun too).
8. Promote your novel (this can be really scary, putting yourself out there and all).
9. Hope the bookstores sell out of your novel within a month and reorders (if not they pull the book to make space for the next author).
10. Start over at number one again to produce your second novel (no, really, you have to).

What you have come across on the web that suggest you must pay for their services are called vanity press. For a lot more money then you can afford (trust me, they want lots of your money) they will print your book. You will end up with a garage full of books and no way to market them. A mainstream publisher will not charge you to publish your book, they will pay you. That is a very important difference.
