Please suggest any place/site where I can submit my short stories, for publishing or competitions? Or any sites which request short stories?
I want to write short stories only, nothing serious. If it has credibility, that’s good.
fictionpress.com is pretty good site for publishing stories. There are forums where challenges are held. And you can post whatever you want.
Where can I submit short stories online?
Where can I read third-person short stories online?
I desperately need help asap.
The classic short stories of Saki (H.H. Munro) are available for free download from Project Gutenberg.
Where can i find short stories online?
I really need to read A pair of Tickets by Amy Tan. I dont have the time to go to the store which means i cant buy it online and wait for the shipping, so if anyone knows where i can read it online Prefferably free, or under 10$ Thatd be awesome!
Amy Tan does not give her stories away for free. She writes books and stories to make a living. Respect that.
Sorry you don’t have the time to go and get her book. If you can’t afford to buy it, then go to the public library to read it there.
No one is guaranteed free reading. That is not a constitutional right.
This short story appears in The Oxford Book of Modern Women’s Stories edited by Patricia Craig.
Books that are out of copyright can be read on the Gutenberg site. These books are older than 1923 so the authors are dead and no longer depending on the income.

How can I sell my short stories online for extra income on the side?
I have a lot of short stories of science fiction, thriller, horror, and detailed porn. I want to sell them on the internet and don’t know where to start. Your input would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You
If you knew that you could write one story every week, you could start a subscription website. Visitors pay you $10 in advance to get a password to enter your site. They would have a story ready for them every week. You could even make it a novel in 52 chapters. Just 100 subscribers would get you $1,000 a month. You might even get discovered and start publishing.
Do free ebooks undercut sales of print books?

Melinda’s comments about the phrase “white trash” were spot-on. I’m just continuing the argument that giving your book away as a free download is more helpful than harmful for your sales of print books. (It would be cool if Amazing Atheist decided to try this. It’s uncool if someone pirated it and gave it away against his will.)
You can download the entire text of “Dungeons and Dayjobs,” my book of short sci-fi and fantasy stories, as a pdf file at http://www.archive.org/details/dungeons_and_dayjobs_anthology
You can also hear some of the stories like a free audiobook at http://dayjobspodcast.blogspot.com
Then after you’ve sampled some stories and decided it’s worth buying, send all your major credit cards to http://www.lulu.com/awkwardly
You can also look this up by title on Amazon, but it’s not available for sale through them.
