i grew up reading these set of books, unfortunately when my siblings and i started going off to college, my mother thought we would outgrow our love for these books so she donated it to the church. Now that i am a sunday school teacher i realize how helpful the books are since it has very good illustrations. Please do help me. thanks.

What are some good easier to read true story books..?
I’m reading a stolen life right now and really liking it. Just wondering what some other good true story books are. Maybe one’s written by survivors or such. I’m just getting back into reading, so I wouldn’t want anything to difficult.
Thanks
Oh and I’m also reading Night by Elie Wisel
I personally like Zak bagan’s Night World. It his true adventres as a Paranormal Investigator. It’s a little biographical, but it’s honestly a really good read that is sure to make you think.
Can someone give me some good tips on creating a very good story plot serious answers only please?
I am trying to come up with a catchy plot for my story for a movie i wanna do but i want my story to be very good and creative for it to be a hit movie and i’m trying very hard so can somebody give me some good advice?
I’m doing thriller and suspense.
Well I won’t give you a plot straight out…but I can give you a few tips on how to make your plot interesting.
Tips…
1.) Give it something new. If it is an old plot, like, boy saves girls life, girl comes along for the ride to destroy whatever scary thing is terrorizing them, make it new. Perhaps they work together the entire time and then he turns out to be working for the scary thing, and he hands her up as a sacrifice…Idk, just something new. Don’t make it the same old predictable story.
2.) Make the ‘scary thing’ truly scary. Not a gooey swamp monster, not a murderer in a mask, not a killer that can only hurt you in your dreams. Make it a psychopathic killer that is truly ****** up and has serious problems. He’ll have a back story, a reason for the madness. Just like in Saw, when JigSaw had a reason for the crazy things he did. Make this ‘scary guy/thing’ truly messed up in the head. He doesn’t have to look scary, to scare the living **** out of a person.
3.) Make the lead actor a girl…I mean, in every scary movie (most of them) a guy runs into something scary and then has to save the girl, because she inevitably gets involved. Well maybe she gets involved first this time. And then maybe it’s her sister that gets involved, and the guy comes along later..something to get away from the ‘I’m the helpless womaaaaan’ role.
4.) SURPRISE!!! You have to shock your audience. If they’re expecting it, they aren’t going to be shocked, surprised, or scared. Throw in twists, unexpected turns, loud noises…make you jump and pee a little surprises.
I hope this helps, good luck
Has there ever been a short story with a sequel?
Because I have a horror story in mind, but I was originally planning it to be just a short story, then I got ideas on making a sequel. Or would an editor/publisher recommend I write out more or try to mash them into one? Because also the lady gets pregnant but I kind of wanted to skip that little time frame and her already have her baby in the sequel. So I guess in short, is it okay to have a short story with a short story sequel after?
well, asimovs three rules of robotics have appeared in many many short stories afterward. i mean i guess you could allude to it… use elements you established before.. cant say that ive actually seen a short story with a sequel. the point of a short story is really to finish the story in one read. so, i mean if it would take two short stories to actually sum the story, id suggest writing a novelette.
