ok so i am trying to write a story for my five year old nephiew and its aboout a mouse called, mr. butter, a fish called dr. waflles and a bear with fake bee wings called bumble. i apreciate any ideas!! thank you:)
Oh i have an idea. Since Bumble is a bear with fake bee wings, its obvious that he might want to be a bee instead of a bear. And let’s just say his two friends are Mr. Butter and Dr. Waffles. It could be a really cute fairytale of Bumble’s search for wings. Mr. Butter and Dr. Waffles can go along helping Bumble go find the Forest Fairy and grant the wish of having real bee wings. Mr. Butter can be the silly, goofy one. Dr. Waffles can be the wise one and swims in the river as the follow it (the river) to find the Forest Fairy.
Tell me when it is finished and if your nephew liked it!
Any odea for a kids story involvin a mouse a fish and a bear?
Where can I submit short stories online?
Please suggest any place/site where I can submit my short stories, for publishing or competitions? Or any sites which request short stories?
I want to write short stories only, nothing serious. If it has credibility, that’s good.
fictionpress.com is pretty good site for publishing stories. There are forums where challenges are held. And you can post whatever you want.
Where can I read third-person short stories online?
I desperately need help asap.
The classic short stories of Saki (H.H. Munro) are available for free download from Project Gutenberg.
Where can i find short stories online?
I really need to read A pair of Tickets by Amy Tan. I dont have the time to go to the store which means i cant buy it online and wait for the shipping, so if anyone knows where i can read it online Prefferably free, or under 10$ Thatd be awesome!
Amy Tan does not give her stories away for free. She writes books and stories to make a living. Respect that.
Sorry you don’t have the time to go and get her book. If you can’t afford to buy it, then go to the public library to read it there.
No one is guaranteed free reading. That is not a constitutional right.
This short story appears in The Oxford Book of Modern Women’s Stories edited by Patricia Craig.
Books that are out of copyright can be read on the Gutenberg site. These books are older than 1923 so the authors are dead and no longer depending on the income.
Where can i send my photos for them to be made into a story book album?
My fiance and I are getting married in Cyprus and was wondering if there is anywhere I can send our photo’s to be made into a story book album as the cost of them to do it abroad is very expensive.
Typically, any site that accepts photos and creates the album designs, prints, and binds, will only work with professional photographers. If you are wanting that type of high end album, you will need to work with having it done through a pro. An album of that type is not going to be cheap, no matter where you have it done. I would think it would be cheaper out of the country actually, but perhaps not. Any album of this type I created for my wedding clients would sell at a minimum of $700, up to about $1800 depending on size and page count and album style.
You can create books yourself at sites such as Blurb or Kodak or Adorama, but these may not be of the type you are wanting. If you are planning to create your own book, be SURE you are going to get FULL SIZE HIGH RESOLUTION copies of all your photos on CD or DVD. If you only get web size and resolution photos, they will not be suitable for printing.

LUCY… I have found a place that can do what you want. I was going to email you personally, but there is no email link. Hopefully you will see this addition. We Design Albums will accept your photos, design, print, and bind the album. Looks like some nice work, though I have never used them. Pricing is not cheap, but actually quite low cost for what this typically costs. It is far less than what I would be forced to charge for such an album. Here is the link:

Why do people get put in foster care?Foster Kids What Is Your Story?
My grandma was a foster parent and i lived with her because i didn’t want to change schools.
i’ve seen a lot of foster kids come and go but i never really knew any of their stories.
They all seemed to really hate life and they were kind of mean.
this was a long time ago though. but the reason why this came up is one of the girls that lived with us died recently and i felt like we were pretty close but i knew nothing about why i know her.
One of my cousins is adopted, but first my aunt and uncle fostered her, before the battle to have custody over her. Basically in my cousins case, my aunt and uncle had three sons and wanted a daughter and so they volunteered themselves as foster parents, my cousin came to them as a little two year old girl with a big black eye, her parents were alcoholics and on drugs and her father beat her up. So my aunt and uncle recieved her and took care for her, and then her mother demanded to have her back and so because my aunt and uncle had no legal claim they had to send her back. Needless to say a few months later she was left on the police stations front door in kings cross (its a place located in sydney known for drugs, prostitution, and basically everything underground) with a note saying to take her back to social services and they will know what to do with her. And one thing led to another and my aunt and uncle were able to adopt her to gain full legal custody.
People go into foster care when their parents are not capable of looking after them, this is usually a result of physical abuse with the child or drug and alcoholism.
Is a story opening with a main character who has no memory cliche or overused?
It fits my plot as an opening for a man to regain consciousness, and have barely any memory except for knowing who he is and for the place he is in to seem vaguely familiar. As the story moves on some memories come back to him.
Cliche or overdone, or does it really depend on the rest of the story ?
If you think this idea is cliche or overused, please try to list other stories that have used it.
Thanks.
"Bourne Supremacy" is a movie that makes use of this memory loss feature, and the story line remained interesting throughout as his story unfolded.
Writing style is going to have a whole lot to do with whether the plot is seen to be trite or intriguing. You might consider a slight twist somewhere within the plot that keeps a bit of mystery in place as the story unfolds. Define your character in your own mind, complete with quirks, foibles, and inner conflicts or turmoil as well as any rough humor or sardonic wit. As you clarify your characters full personality, the plot should, as they say, thicken.
What are some ideas for a story, and how can i stop writers block?
I want to be an author when i grow up so i decided to write a story.I can’t think of any ideas for my story. I get writers block a lot but don’t know how to stop it. Please post story ideas and ways to stop writers block.
To create a plot or cure writer’s block:
OPTION A~
• Daydream. Its as simple as that. Let your mind wander, it’s how I get many of my story ideas. (:
OPTION B~
• Use the ‘what if?’ system. What if _____? What if ______ happened to _____? What would happen if ________?
OPTION C~
• Read quotes or song lyrics, maybe you can find some inspiration!
• You can even think of random words and they may inspire you… How about ‘survive’? ‘Love’? ‘Betrayal’? ‘Harsh’?
An easy way to create new novel characters- just fill in this bio:
Name:
Age:
Date of Birth:
Appearance:
Personality:
Background:
Good luck! =]
What story do you remember most from your childhood?
Mine is The Hook- the scary story about the insane man who escaped the asylum and was lurking around, trying to get people with him hook.
What’s yours?
When I was little, my dad and I would go back and forth making up our own stories. I really loved doing it, though, we made quite a few so I don’t remember them all. I do remember there being an odd one about a wizard and him having foot fungus. I thought that was hilarious for some reason. xD
